The Mudd Report – How’s the Market in Spotsylvania?

The September 2011 Market Report

There is a lot of good news in the market for the month of September in Spotsylvania County.

The average days on market were just 81 days which is down almost 16% from last year. Attached homes like townhouses are up in price from last year a whopping 24.69%. Another hot ticket last month were 4 bedroom detached homes priced between $200,000 and $300,000 with 31 sold. There were 96 active listings priced under $200,000 so there are a lot of affordable options in Spotsylvania County. There were just about an equal amount of purchaser’s using Conventional, FHA, VA and Cash for funding their home purchase. The interest rate I was quoted by a lender for a 30 year fixed FHA loan today was 3.75%, UNBELIEVABLE!
